“Fellow Duffers, Honored Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen, a very warm welcome to you all and thank you once again for supporting the Duffers.  Tonight this golfing society, most dear to us, celebrates its sixtieth birthday.  It is indeed a much coveted milestone”

With this introduction President Rin Lee welcomed all members, their spouses and guests to the 60th Anniversary Dinner.  The event was held at The Hong Kong Club and the 180 participants took up the whole of the First Floor, which was tastefully decorated with the centre piece being a Duffers logo specially designed for the occasion

Welcome speeches from CEO David Lam and the President were kept to the point, as was the traditional Toast, which allowed the sumptuous dinner to be served as planned.  The evening was further enlivened by a music performance and lucky draw with numerous prizes, thanks to the generosity of the donors.  It is worth mentioning that the dinner was graced by the presence of all Past Presidents of Duffers covering the previous 10 years being 2003 to 2013

Throughout the dinner members circulated amongst themselves reaffirming their friendship and recounting past memories.  The video show of photographs selected from the past 60 years served to rekindle interesting reminiscences and greatly contributed to the conviviality of the moment

The evening ended with members expressing their anticipation towards the next celebratory event
